Terms of Use
Website use and client services
These terms apply to your use of this website. By using it, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Browsing, submitting an intake, or requesting a consultation does not by itself establish a paid advising relationship. Service scope, fees, cancellations, refunds, and responsibilities must be set out in the agreement provided for your engagement. If that agreement conflicts with these website terms on client services, the signed agreement controls.
Acceptable use and ownership
Use this website lawfully. Do not submit misleading information, impersonate another person, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the website, or upload harmful material. Website text, designs, and original resources belong to their respective owners. You may use our resources for personal college planning; commercial republication or redistribution requires permission. You retain ownership of information and original work you submit and authorize its use only as needed to respond to your request or provide agreed services.
Availability and warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and its general information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for a particular purpose. We may correct, update, or remove website content. This provision does not override express commitments in a signed client agreement or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Angela Carney and Carney College Advising are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this website or reliance on its general information, including lost opportunities or losses resulting from third-party decisions. We are not responsible for inaccurate information supplied by a user, missed deadlines or submissions the family is responsible for, or third-party website failures outside our control.
These limitations apply only where legally enforceable. They do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Liability relating to paid advising services is addressed in the applicable client agreement, subject to law.
Resolving concerns
If you have a concern, contact us with the relevant details so we can try to resolve it promptly. This request does not restrict your right to pursue a lawful remedy. If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
